In the beginning of "Boys Without Names" Gopal, the main character was thought of as shy and timid. Gopals characteristics has changed dramaticly throughout the book. In the middle of the book Gopal wasn't shy anymore all tho he was scared and tried. At the end of the book Gopal was more social, happy, and comfortable. Further more, after all of the pages and chapters Gopal was excited, he was over all more happy :).
Gopal had to rely on himself in the book to help him escape the hands of scar face. here are the ways he did so.
1. He knew were jama's (grandpa) house was
2. Scar sent him on errands outside, he could have escaped
3. He had plans and nobody else in the factory was trying to figure out a way to be free
4. Gopal couldn't/ wouldn't trust anyone until later on
